About Dill Seed:

We export Sortex Quality Dill Seeds without impurities, guaranteed to meet US FDA standards and Asta Quality. Dill is an annual herb native to Central Asia, but it is also widely cultivated in Europe and Northern Africa for both culinary and medicinal purposes. While dill seeds are well-known, the dried leaves of the dill plant are also used for flavoring, though they offer a milder taste compared to the seeds.

Dill seeds originally hail from Central Asia, but are now extensively grown in Egypt, Mediterranean countries, Eastern Europe, and increasingly in North America. In India, a related species known as Sowa is cultivated, which produces larger but less fragrant fruits. Major dill production areas include India and Pakistan, with additional contributions from Egypt, Fiji, Mexico, the Netherlands, the United States, England, and Hungary.

India is the leading producer of dill seeds and their derivatives. Over the past five years, exports of dill essential oil and seeds have increased significantly. India supplies both whole and powdered spices to various European countries.
